Please read this agreement carefully before accessing or using the information and services available through Study Shortcut’s website. By accessing and / or using Study Shortcut’s website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below.

Study Shortcut reserves the right to modify or change the Terms, Conditions and/or Policies at its discretion and without notice. A version of the current Study Shortcut Terms, Conditions and Policies will be updated accordingly on the Study Shortcut website.

The Terms, Conditions and Policies which follow apply to all services:

Registration and payment in full must be completed prior to the commencement of the tuition and online services.
Extensions to access to the Study Shortcut materials will be provided on a case by case basis at Study Shortcut’s sole discretion.
Refunds are provided in accordance with the ‘Study Shortcut Refund Policy.’

The applicable law applying to the Study Shortcut website is the law in the State of Victoria in Australia.

Copyright & Trademark

Copyright in the material on this website is owned by Study Shortcut, unless otherwise indicated, and you agree not to infringe any intellectual property rights, including trademarks, owned by Study Shortcut.

All materials are subject to Australian copyright laws. Should you wish to use, reproduce or distribute our materials in a manner outside these laws, prior written consent from Study Shortcut must be obtained.

Study Shortcut acknowledges that CPA Australia owns copyright of all CPA Program® study guide materials and specific learning objectives within those materials. Study Shortcut also acknowledges the trademarks held by CPA Australia, including CPA® and CPA Program®.

Licence

Purchase of The Shortcut Strategy materials provides a single licence for the registered account holder to use the resources for the duration of the semester.

The single use licence does not permit for the resources to be shared, sold, or sub-licensed to anyone other than the registered account holder (whether during or after the specified licence term).

If the conditions of licence are breached, Study Shortcut will take appropriate action to protect its interests and rights including, but not limited to, removing course access, de-registering the user account, reporting the breach to the relevant professional accounting body, and taking appropriate legal action.

Delivery

The Study Shortcut website facilitates the purchase of products and services for online delivery. Delivery is via email, download or access to our online learning platform. Upon receipt of payment, Study Shortcut will immediately make available and deliver all products and services purchased.

Products and courses are available for a term as specified by the particular item (e.g. per subject, per semester, or per year).

Our The Shortcut Strategy materials are available as a subscription service for a single semester (unless otherwise agreed in writing) and the subscription must be renewed after that period to continue to receive access to the course materials.

Once access is granted to the course materials for a particular subject in a particular semester, the term of access is limited to the end of that semester.

Study Shortcut is committed to protecting your privacy and the confidentiality and the security of personal information provided by you.

We may use your personal information to contact you about our services including tuition products, study and exam tips, latest news, updates and newsletters, to conduct analysis or market research or provide other information.

Your contact information may be disclosed to external organisations that we engage in business functions, such as our technology service providers.

You have the right to access or correct any personal information we hold about you (subject to any applicable legal exceptions) and can do this by contacting us via email and use this service to select the kind of communications you wish to receive or opt out of receiving certain communications from us.

Refund Policy

Any refunds will be made in accordance with this Refund Policy. Refund requests may be for a full refund or a partial refund as the case may be.

Full refunds:

Will be awarded where Study Shortcut is unable to provide any of the product or service as described.
May be awarded in certain limited circumstances, such as serious illness or accident.

Partial refunds:

Will be awarded where Study Shortcut is unable to provide part of the product or service as described.
May be awarded where Study Shortcut is notified of a cancellation or withdrawal within 5 days of enrolment.

Refunds will be considered by Study Shortcut on a case-by-case basis and may require relevant supporting documentation to be provided. Refunds involve significant administration activities and a $50 administration fee is applicable, which will be deducted from any awarded refund request. Refund application requests must be made in writing via email. Approved refunds will be made within 28 days of written notification being received by Study Shortcut.

Study Shortcut reserves the right:

To not provide a refund if you do not use the product or service.
To offer alternative products and services in lieu of a refund or as part of a refund, although there is no obligation to accept this offer.

Extension for deferral or fail grade

Any user requesting an extension to their course access (beyond the semester of purchase) is required to produce confirmation of deferral or fail grade via official CPA Australia correspondence to Study Shortcut via email.

Extensions due to deferral or fail grade require the payment of a $30 administrative fee in order to be implemented (effective from 1 May 2023).

Extensions without CPA Australia confirmation can also be provided if prearranged with Study Shortcut prior to enrolment. All other extension requests will be considered on a case by case basis at Study Shortcut’s sole discretion.

Grievance Policy

Any user with an issue, question or complaint may raise the matter with Study Shortcut and attempt an informal resolution of the complaint.

Study Shortcut will try and resolve the issue, question or complaint immediately or, if required, investigate the matter and then arrange further contact to discuss the outcome of the investigation and offer a solution, if appropriate.

A user who is not satisfied with the outcome of their discussion of the complaint is encouraged to register a formal complaint by following these steps:

Lodging a complaint via email to Study Shortcut.
Study Shortcut will confirm receipt of the user’s complaint.
Study Shortcut will review the grievance report.

During the formal complaint process, the user may present their case to Study Shortcut in writing.

Study Shortcut will provide the user with a decision and reasons for the decision.

Study Shortcut will also implement the decision and undertake any improvement actions arising from the complaint.

Study Shortcut will retain all records of the complaint on file.

Users who are not satisfied with the outcome of the formal complaint may appeal against the Study Shortcut decision by contacting the Founder, who will oversee an internal appeal process.

Printed materials

If purchased by you, Study Shortcut will provide a printed and posted copy of the Summary Notes.

Postage – tracked letter service and express post

Materials posted with the Australia Post tracked letter service and express post come with a guarantee of replacement by Study Shortcut if the Summary Notes are not delivered, following the completion of the Australia Post investigation process.

Study Shortcut will provide a tracking number to you following lodgement with Australia Post.
